How it works.
Buying your beef in bulk from the farm gives you peace of mind and saves hundreds of dollars in cost. But it is a little different than shopping from the grocery store. We’ve streamlined the process to include straight-forward pricing, predictable quantities, and a doorstep delivery schedule. Read on to learn more about the purchase process and what to expect in your order.
Determine quantity.
The first step is to decide whether you’d like to reserve the whole animal, a single side of beef, or a half-side/quarter. If you are purchasing annually, we typically recommend a quarter per person in your household.
Choose your cuts.
Every family is different—some like the convenience of having a large quantity of ground beef ready for quick dinners, while others prefer more premium steaks. We have three popular cut styles to give you the variety you prefer.
Reserve your beef.
We raise a limited amount of beef per year, so pre-orders are necessary. A deposit is required to reserve, and the balance is due the day of processing. Delivery is available for select major U.S. cities and adjacent routes.
Customize your order.
All of our bulk beef orders are customized to fit your family’s unique needs. But to give you an idea of where to start, we have a variety of cut styles to serve as a starting point. Each is quantified by the percentage of meat you choose to be made into ground beef. For example, a side of beef processed with more roasts and steaks means less meat for ground beef. Whereas, a side processed with fewer specialty cuts means not only a greater quantity of ground beef, but a higher quality of ground beef (as more premium cuts are being used to process it.)
-
This package places an emphasis on premium and other steaks, chuck and other roasts, short ribs and brisket, and whatever cuts remain will be processed as ground beef. We recommend this for those that like a wide variety of options, or cook for large gatherings.
-
Our Choice option features premium and other steaks, chuck roast only (no other roasts), short ribs and brisket. The remaining choice cuts will be processed into ground beef. This package offers some variety for those who want flexibility, but includes a higher quantity (and higher quality) of ground beef than our Select package.
-
This has easily become our most popular package as smaller families, or those who have a set menu of go-to meals, prefer premium steaks only, some chuck roast and brisket, and opt for the rest of their beef to be processed into ground beef. If you have no need for a wide variety of cuts, the Premium package includes the highest quality of steaks and ground beef we offer.
What to expect.
